The 61-year-old frontman is said to have left the band after performing in Abu Dhabi last month.Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, who is known for his wild dancing and for draping his microphone stand with a colourful scarf while on stage, has left the band. His bandmates say they have not heard from him since.Guitarist Joe Perry told the Las Vegas Sun newspaper: "Steven quit as far as I can tell. I don't know anymore than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band."Perry claims Tyler has refused to take his phone calls to let the rest of the band know what's going on.Perry said the band - who were forced to cancel shows earlier this year after Tyler was taken to hospital after falling ill during one concert - are now looking for a replacement.

The U2 “spaceship,” as Bono describes the Irish band’s monster stage, will land again in Soldier Field next year, on July 6.U2, which opened the North American leg of its massive “360 Tour” at Soldier Field last September, announced Monday that it will extend the tour through America and Europe next year. The July 6 date at Soldier Field is set between a July 3 appearance in Toronto and a July 9 show in Miami, suggesting the band may add an additional Chicago date if ticket demand exists. The show is set on a circular stage underneath a 90-foot-tall, four-pronged canopy that suggests an alien invader from "War of the Worlds." The steel structure takes four days to build, and houses a 150-foot pylon and a 54-ton cylindrical video screen. As stadium events go, the tour is said to be the largest and most expensive of its kind, requiring an army of 2,500 people to stage.

Kanye West and Lady Gaga's highly anticipated tour is over before it even began.Just days after announcing dates for an ambitious joint show that was to kick off next month, the tour was canceled.Live Nation announced the news in a brief statement Thursday that did not offer any explanation. Refunds are available for those who brought tickets for the tour. It was to kick off Nov. 10 in Phoenix and was scheduled to run through at least January. The name of the tour was to be "Fame Kills" _ a sentiment West may have been feeling in recent weeks. The Grammy-winning rapper has endured a firestorm of negative publicity since he hijacked the award-winning moment of country-pop sweetheart Taylor Swift at last month's MTV Video Music Awards.Publicists for both West and Lady Gaga did not immediately return requests for comment. A representative for Live Nation said there was no further information.
