Wanda Sykes is a Actress, comedian and author Wanda Sykes hosts an irreverent new late-night offering.Wanda Sykes has no problem speaking her mind, rattling off jokes or creating conversation. Now, she’ll try to get others to be funny and interesting as she joins the world of late-night chatters when the weekly “The Wanda Sykes Show” launches at 10 central time tonight on Fox.Hosting a talk show is new for Sykes but the format is not. She got her start on HBO’s “The Chris Rock Show,” a talk show that had no restrictions because it aired on premium cable. The freedom was perfect for Sykes, who finds humor in everything from politics to sex — and talks about it frankly. The Barack Obama campaign made her change her mind.“I was like, ’Wow, I really wish I had an outlet where I could go out there and just speak on this on a week-to-week basis and be current.’ And I thought, ’You know what? This talk show ... I can do that. I can do the things like we did on “Chris Rock.’” And that seemed like what they were getting at, what they wanted. And so I’m like, ’This is the time. This is the time to jump into it.’” Sykes says. The format will be very loose. If something is deemed funny and relevant, it’ll be in the show. Her topics will range from entertainment to politics.

Jamie Foxx says Roman Polanski would “be missing” if he had touched his daughter. The Soloist actor has spoken out against the film director — who is currently facing extradition to the US after he fled the country in 1978 when he was convicted of having sex with a 13-year-old girl — insisting he wouldn’t hesitate to take the law into his own hands if his child was in danger.“If it had been my daughter who was barely a teenager – my daughter is 15 — Roman Polanski would be missing… period. It wouldn’t even get to the court case,” Foxx told Parade magazine.“But, that’s me and I wouldn’t want anyone else to follow that because you should let the justice system work it out.“On the other hand, I don’t know Roman Polanski, but maybe if I had a relationship with him my answer would be different. I just think this whole issue is bigger than Roman Polanski.”Jamie, 41, admits he has no idea how far he would go to seek retribution if someone hurt his loved ones.“Some of things I’ve said I’d do to sexual perpetrators were pretty graphic. But I also read some stories of people taking the law into their own hands, which is bad too. So it’s tough to know how far you’d go.”

Megan Fox
LOS ANGELES – Confirming that endorsement deals still have cachet in a recession, "Transformers" star Megan Fox is pulling down a seven-figure payday to model Armani underwear and jeans.
The 23-year-old will be the new face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans in 2010, the Milan-based fashion house announced Wednesday.
Most endorsement deals pay celebrities from $500,000 to $2 million for an ad campaign that runs a year, and Fox will make toward the high end of the range, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press.
This person was not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.Overall advertising spending is down, but brands continue to pay for endorsement deals with celebrities, said Carol Goll, head of global branded entertainment for International Creative Management, the Hollywood talent agency that represented Fox in the Armani deal."There's a lot of interest in celebrity spokespeople," Goll said. "We haven't seen a decline in that."The agency recently also signed major deals for clients Beyonce, with General Mills Inc., and Ellen DeGeneres with Cover Girl.
